RESTORE AND IMPROVE HVAC EFFICIENCY

The air handler or fan coil unit, also known on board superyachts as the air handling unit (AHU), is the core of any yacht HVAC cleaning project and the heart of a marine ventilation system. A filthy air handler promotes rapid bacterial contamination and widespread mold spores. Therefore, the hygiene of the air handling unit is a crucial factor when addressing any indoor air quality issues onboard. The cleaning and restoration of the HVAC system should be considered of utmost importance in the yacht’s professional maintenance system.

Crew members and yacht engineers are constantly having a hard time periodically maintaining the air handlers and the fan coil units mainly because of the lack of access and the limited space to conduct an extensive yacht HVAC cleaning.

Our minimal-disassembling CIP (clean-in-place) system allows us to safely clean and sanitize the entire exterior casing as well as the inner sides of any configuration of marine air handler or fan coil unit, including the system condenser coils, blower fan motor, internal chambers, evaporators, drain pans and air filter housing tracks. Our cleaning process also includes the sanitization of moldy insulation and electrical lines. Lastly, custom-sized marine-grade filters will be replaced in all units.
