Assessment & Testing
IDENTIFY AND RESOLVE INDOOR AIR QUALITY ISSUES
HOW CLEAN IS THE AIR ONBOARD?
Our expert technicians have been conducting marine air quality testing onboard yachts and boats for over a decade. After our initial assessment and walkthrough, a comprehensive visual and video inspection of the HVAC system components is conducted. We will examine the air handling units, air handler blower fan, air ducts, return and supply plenums, air vents, and grilles, as well as the unit’s cabinet and other cavities of the vessel, like headliners and wall panels.
When the inspection shows signs of air contamination or hidden mold growth is suspected, we strongly recommend a sample testing procedure to help us confirm or rule out the visual findings and document the extent of the hazard.
The collected samples are sent to an accredited independent laboratory that analyzes the results for toxic mold spores, allergens, bacteria, toxic gases, viral agents, and other airborne contaminants. When the marine air quality testing results come back to us, generally after 24 to 48 hours, we provide a comprehensive and confidential report that details the inspection findings, bacterial count, and contamination levels within the different areas of the vessel.
