Indoor Air Purification Systems

We carry a wide range of marine-grade indoor air purification systems designed to safely eliminate and prevent the presence of viruses, bacteria, mold spores, unwanted odors and other air pollutants from the indoor air environment as well as providing fresh, clean and odor-free air to the treated area. Bluestar Marine has the appropriate training, licensing and expertise to conduct the professional installation of several types of air purification systems in marine vessels of any kind. Here are some of our available technologies on indoor air purification:

Ionic Air Purification
Hospital-grade air purification technology that when installed by the air handler perimeter, exhausts a plasma made of polarized ions into the surrounding air and throughout the vessel’s HVAC system. These positive and negative ions prevent and attack the formation of viruses, mold spores, allergens, mildew, VOC’s as well as many other air contaminants. A clustering effect neutralizes odors and greatly improves the indoor air quality on board. Unlike the in-duct UV lights or any other UV light treatment, this type of air purifier does not require to periodically replace the light bulbs, unattach the air ducts nor disassemble any parts for maintenance, and they will not restrict the airflow. They are practically maintenance free.
Airlock - Air Ionization Device
This technology works by replicating nature’s process where the sun’s UV radiation cleans and deodorizes the air.  A generator produces free electrons and hydroxyl radicals that, when dispersed by a fan, literally convert air contaminants including viruses and bacteria into carbon dioxide and water. Hydroxyl molecules also remove unwanted odors and rapidly decompose chemicals in the air. Unlike ozone, this technology is 100% safe for use in occupied areas.
Air Sterilization Plasma
This is a revolutionary indoor air sanitation system that consists of an advanced oxidation generator that creates cleansing ions such as hydroperoxides and superoxide ions, which are exhausted from the system into the surrounding air. These ions travel through the duct system and out into the treated space attacking indoor air pollutants in the areas where we live, eat, and sleep. The plasma treatment includes: suppression of bacterial growth (bacteriostatic), suppression of mold growth (mycostatic), reduction of odors and reduction of chemicals (VOCs).
